A young mother has died after giving birth to twins, amid claims that she had refused a blood transfusion because of her faith.
Normally if some fucktard godbotherer committed suicide because they interpreted the 3000 year old semi-coherent whitterings of a bunch of itinerant camel drivers as meaning they could not avail themselves of 21st century medicine I'd say "Excellent, just chuck her in a hole and be done with her stupidity."
But what sort of level of selfishness does it take to leave your children without a mother? What sort of evil cunt are you to condemn your kids to being told "Your mummy bled to death giving birth to you."
The twins, a boy and a girl, are healthy and being cared for by their father, Anthony Gough, 24.
Well given that Mr Gough is a member of the same mediaeval unreality cult why the fuck are these children not in care right now because you can bet that should any of these kids need surgery that requires a transfusion then they won't get it because Anthony's invisible sky fairy says they can't.
Hitler didn't have that many bright ideas but he was right on in gassing these fuckers.

Gee whiz Grumps, your care and concern almost sounds... Christian for the wee mights, although we would never express it in such a way.
Why does a Dragon care if people die, or what they die from or if they die for their beliefs, as long as you are not impacted? Isn't that the ultimate liberal expression of freedom?
Not challenging here on purpose, just seeking to understand. I don't get the J-Dubyahs anymore than you do...
Pats for ponies all around and Grumpy Dragons too!
Ponies patted. Oven mitts are recommended for patting dragons, grumpy or otherwise, as we can be rather warm.
What do I care you ask? I don't as I think I pointed out in the post, she is at liberty to terminate her life and I would defend to the death her right to do so.
None of that stops her from being just what I called her, selfish. Having freedom in your own person doesn't stop you from being selfish or stupid (or in Mrs Gough's case, both).
But why do I not act in a completely selfish manner? Simply because no man (or dragon) is an island. I have a level of respect for the common weal of humanity and I recognise that by exercising my freedoms in a certain way I can increase it and thus ultimately benefit myself. Instant morality and no sky-pixie needed.
Unfortunately the vast majority of pinheads on this misbegotten planet are incapable of coming to the above conclusions on their own so society proscribes certain liberties necessary for the orderly function of that society. Any libertarian would tell you that there are usually too many restrictions but some are necessary and among these would be prohibitions on causing physical harm to another person who was not consenting to be so harmed (you have to have the consent in there or the S&M crowd get upset and quite rightly so).
Now I'm prepared to admit I may have been hasty in demanding the children be taken into care; the state makes a lousy parent, even worse that the cerebrally challenged Anthony Gough. However the second that there is any hint that he is denying the children under his care life saving medical treatment then I would expect the full majesty of the law to descend on his pin head like an elephant thrown out of a plane without a parachute.
I may post more on this but my train is coming into the station so I have to go.
Looking forward to further thoughts...
Of course, we cannot get on alone, we all need help at different times, but nobody has a right to force anything upon us that we do not want, that happens to be the law in most western countries.
Look, I absolutely do not agree with anything the JW-s espouse, they say their whole gig is about freedom of conscience (which is why they are CO's) while their people are in intense fear of being "disfellowshipped". The have musunderstood some basics about Christianity, mostly about love of neighbor and the love of God... This poor lady was taught that receiving a blood transfusion was wrong because of a scripture passage, the JW's are extreme about sola scriptura. They take their ideas to the nth degree but not how you might think: It is based around this concept of disfellowshipping. The fear of losing one's whole community (this includes possibly one's spouse or parents) if you step out of line with the groupthink is extreme. If she took that transfusion, which seems like a no-brainer looking from the outside but when viewed from the inside, we cannot conceive of the fear that she was facing.
She lost her life over something we regard as foolish, but for her it was everything, it meant her very existence in that community if she took that transfusion. She might not have been allowed to see her children until she repented of the transfusion, she would have been shunned by her friends, etc. This is a nightmare scenario for people in a cult (and I am extrapolating because I have never been in a cult) but she would have no resources of her own. This is the ultimate mind game.
I am only explaining this because it has absolutely nothing to do with God and everything to do with wanting to belong and wanting to be a part of something other than the world.
I am only giving you what I have gleaned from what I have read. It is easier to say someone is selfish for not doing what we want them to do, what we deem is the right thing, however, people are far more complex than this, often more damaged than this, far more beautiful than this.
As I said, looking forward to your thoughts...
